Police: Baby hurt when car and school bus collided was not properly restrained

An infant hurt when a car and school bus collided in North Brunswick was not properly restrained in a car seat, according to authorities.

The crash happened Tuesday at the intersection of Route 130 and Carolier Lane in North Brunswick.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash but say that one of the vehicles involved had to have improperly entered the intersection.

The three people in the car, including the baby, are recovering at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. The baby is in serious but stable condition.

The bus driver is also being treated for injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
