Prosecutor: Former treasurer of Freehold Soccer League faces theft charges for stealing more than $450,000 from league

The former treasurer of the Freehold Soccer League is facing theft charges.



According to the Monmouth County Prosecutor, Anthony Gallo stole more than $450,000 from the organization between 2012 and 2016.



Gallo reportedly wrote numerous checks to himself and his business, as well withdrawing cash from the league's bank account.



Prosecutors says he used the money to pay for personal expenses.
