Mayor: No euthanizing geese in Edgewater this year

Edgewater will not be euthanizing any geese this year, according to the mayor of the borough.

Mayor Michael McPartland says only seven birds were put down last year.

The borough has since done some "habitat modifications" to keep the geese away from Veterans Field, which is the area in question.

According to the mayor, the borough is thinking of buying a border collie to live on the site.

They are also considering special lights to discourage geese from gathering.
