More than 20 shots fired into homes, cars in Linden
Police are trying to figure out who is responsible for shooting up a Linden neighborhood Monday night
Linden police say that they found more than 20 rounds of ammunition following the shooting on Middlesex Street around 9 p.m. The bullets struck cars and several homes.
Officials say that they believe the bullet casings came from at least two different weapons, leading police to believe two people were shooting at each other.
Yolanda Josef says that she has lived on the block for 14 years and says that she cannot believe something like this would happen on her street.
"This is the first time something like this is going on," she says.
Police Chief Jonathan Parham says it was a miracle no one was injured.
Union County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of whoever is responsible.
Anyone who might have any information is asked to call Linden detectives at 908-474-8537.
