Police in North Brunswick looking for bank robber who got away despite large manhunt

Police in North Brunswick are looking for a bank robber on the loose, despite a large manhunt. 



It happened at the Chase Bank on Old Georges Road.



According to police, the bank opend this morning, but just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, an armed person walked in and held up a teller at gunpoint.



Witnesses say the person ran, with police not far behind. They were already in the area investigating a serious crash.



State police and K-9 units were called in to help with the search.



State police also deployed its helicopter and asked residents to stay inside their homes, but the suspect was able to get away.



No one was injured in the robbery or the search.
