Wash Your Paws self-service dog wash offers free service to police and military dogs

A new Ocean County dog grooming business is offering free service to police and military dogs.

Wash Your Paws is a self-service dog-washing business located on Mantoloking Road in Brick Township. Customers are able to use stalls to give their pets a bath.

The business is offering free service to police and military dogs as a way of saying thank you.

News 12 New Jersey ran into Brick Police Sgt. Paul Catalina, who was giving his K-9 partner a bath.

"We do a lot of public service events and K-9 demos, so we are able to have our dogs look and smell nice for people," he says. "And the other side is we do a lot of work tracking through the woods and going into some houses that aren't the cleanest, so it's great to be able to wash the dogs and put them back into service."

Wash Your Paws also sells accessories and treats, and performs grooming as well.
