2 attempted child luring incidents reported in Franklin Township

Police are investigating after two alleged child-luring attempts were reported in Somerset County.



According to Franklin Township police, a 13-year-old boy was walking home from school on Thursday when he was approached by a man who offered him a ride home.



The boy ran from the scene and was unharmed.



He reported to the school that his friend, a 12-year-old girl, was also approached by the same car.



Police are describing the suspect as a black man, between 20 to 30 years old, with facial hair. They say he drove a black pickup truck with tinted windows.



Anyone with information is urged to call Franklin Township police.
