Major general visits New Jersey State Veterans Memorial Home in Edison

Maj. Gen. Troy Kok visited the New Jersey State Veterans Memorial Home this morning in Edison.

The commanding general of the U.S. Army Reserve's 99th Regional Support Command spoke with and thanked veterans for their service.

"Our World War II veterans are passing away," says Kok. "Our Korean War veterans are passing away, and you want to talk about the stories. Just the opportunity to be able to touch, shake their hand and say thank you for what they did, it doesn't matter what the rank."

Maj. Gen. Kok commands the 99th RSC headquartered at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst,

Its mission is to provide facilities, programs and services to service members, civilians and family members in the northeast region.
