Rutgers hackathon event geared toward women who code

An event geared toward women in computer science is underway at Rutgers University in New Brunswick this weekend.



The 24-hour annual hackathon dubbed HackHERS aims to foster an enviroment where women are empowered to use code and explore tech culture.



The event is organized by Rutgers Women in Computer Science and the Douglass Project.



Each group participating in the event will be at the Cook Student Center to code their ideas into reality over the next 24 hours.
