Bridge connecting New Jersey and Pennsylvania to remain closed for another 8 weeks

The Delaware River Turnpike Toll Bridge will remain closed for at least another eight weeks due to ongoing repairs.

Officials say an early April reopening would be the best case-scenario.

The bridge has been closed since Jan. 20 after a major crack was discovered in one of the bridge's trusses.

The nearly 61-year-old bridge connecting the Pennsylvania and New Jersey turnpikes carries more than 42,000 vehicles per day.
