Cold lingers, even in areas that missed most snow

Some New Jersey communities got less snow Thursday than others, but temperatures are frigid across the board.



Ocean County areas like Seaside Heights escaped the heaviest snow totals, but the 1 to 2 inches that fell became treacherous ice along the boardwalk.



Some residents chose to stroll down the beach anyway, like John Carpenter.



"Sunny, crisp, clear air is great," he says. "It's not crowded. That's the key."
