NJ Transit bus skids off road and crashes into fence, no injuries reported

A New Jersey Transit bus skidded off the road Thursday and crashed into a fence.

The minor crash happened near the Second Street Lightrail station on the border of Jersey City and Hoboken.

The bus appeared to not have any passengers at the time of the crash, and the driver was not injured.

Crews were on the scene to help move the bus off the roadway.

Road conditions during Thursday's snowstorm were treacherous in many areas. State police say they responded to over 200 accidents on state roadways, as well as over 200 calls for aid. Local police departments also reported dozens of accidents.

The snow has mostly subsided, but conditions are expected to become icy overnight. Drivers are urged to use caution.
