Prosecutor: Text messages were motive after missing Belleville woman found dead in car trunk in Newark

New details have surfaced after a missing Belleville woman was found dead inside the trunk of her car last week in Newark.

According to prosecutors, the motive may have been over text messages.

Pedro Lora Pena is accused of killing 41-year-old Diana Boggio, putting her body in the trunk of her Honda Accord, and then abandoning the car on Verona Avenue in Newark.

The two were in a relationship.

Pena allegedly admitted to killing Boggio after she wouldn't stop sending text messages to another man.

Pena has since pleaded not guilty to her murder

Investigators believe Pena killed Boggio in an undetermined location and then brought her body to Newark.
