Bob’s Video Time, last video rental store in New Jersey, to close down

What is believed to be the last video rental store in New Jersey is set to close its doors later this month.

Bob's Video Time has been in business for 27 years in Brick Township.

The owners say customers have dwindled over the years due to online movie options, so they will be forced to close their doors. They say that after close to 30 years in business, they had many loyal fans.

"One would be the senior citizens because they are not tech savvy and love coming in and actually picking up the DVD and bring it home to watch," says co-owner Donna Karpodinis.

Younger customers say they also will miss the shop.

"I just love coming here every Friday night, getting a movie and going next door and getting a pizza," says Kristen Kaye. "It's really sad to see it go because I spent most of my childhood here."

The owners say they will continue to sell DVDs online.

The video rental store will close for good on Feb. 11.
