Body of missing Lakewood teen Elibit Mena believed to be found in wooded area

Police in Lakewood have found a body believed to be that of a missing township teen.

The body was found in a wooded area past Arlington Boulevard on the outskirts of Shenandoah Lake Park.

Shenandoah Lake Park is where 18-year-old Elibit Mena's car was found after he was reported missing by his mother Sunday.

Multiple agencies have been searching the area for several days since his car was found in the park.

Officials have not confirmed that the body found is Mena's, but they do say that foul play is suspected in his disappearance.

A law enforcement source close to the investigation tells News 12 New Jersey that the death may have been gang-related.
