West Orange Jewish community center evacuated following bomb threat

The Jewish community center on Northfield Avenue in West Orange was evacuated Tuesday after a bomb threat.

The center was evacuated around 11 a.m. after receiving the call. Law enforcement officers searched the center, and no threat was found.

The JCC Association of North America says that 14 Jewish centers in 10 states, plus one in Canada, received threats Tuesday.

This is the third time Jewish centers nationwide received threats within the past few weeks.
