Tuesday marked last day to sign up for health care coverage under Affordable Care Act

Tuesday was the last day to sign up for health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act.

Experts say that people should still sign up even though the Trump administration has vowed to repeal the act.

President Donald Trump and the Republican-led Congress have vowed to repeal ACA, also known as Obamacare, and replace it with another form of health care coverage. But so far no details about what that replacement could entail have emerged.

People who signed up for the ACA before the deadline will have health coverage for a full year even if the act is repealed.

The two carriers in New Jersey for 2017 are AmeriHealth and Horizon.
