Protesters rally against Trump travel ban

Protesters gathered in a handful of areas across New Jersey on Sunday to voice opposition to President Donald Trump's executive order on immigration and refugees.

The order placed a ban on people from seven Muslim-majority countries, and stops the admission of refugees into the United States for four months. Syrian refugees are barred indefinitely.

An estimated 900 people held a protest in Elizabeth. There was also a similar protest in Teaneck.

Additionally, about two dozen people held a peaceful protest inside Terminal B at the International Arrivals gate at Newark Liberty International Airport.

Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman says she has asked for hearings to take place this week and wants to hear from the Department of Homeland Security on what is happening at the nation's airports.
