Residents rally in support of immigrants in Teaneck

Residents rallied in Teaneck Sunday afternoon in support of immigrants and against President Donald Trump's executive order on immigration and refugees.

About 300 people gathered at the Teaneck Municipal Green, located outside Town Hall for the rally.

The event was organized by a group called Teaneck Together, a new grassroots organization comprised of mostly local parents who represent diverse communities within Teaneck.

Organizers say they sent out a few Facebook posts about the rally Saturday evening, and people started showing up with signs.

Rep. Frank Pallone and Rep. Josh Gottheimer were both on hand for the event, as well as the mayor and deputy mayor of Teaneck.
