Fourth-graders visit seniors for Fitness Day in Somerset

Fourth-graders from MacAfee Road School in Somerset brought some youthful energy to seniors at Spring Hills Somerset Assisted Living for Fitness Day.

The students paired up with seniors for all kinds of games and physical activities, from wheelchair races to playing with a parachute.

"They had this thing up in the air, it seems like a lot of fun," says Spring Hills Somerset resident John Boucher. "It's great to see these kids. We miss our grandchildren, we don't see them that often."

The idea for the event came from one of the gym teachers.

Everyone enjoyed it so much that they are already planning another future visit.
