Surveillance video catches car crashing through Highland Park Krauszer’s

Police are investigating after a car crashed through the front door of a Highland Park Krauszer's Tuesday afternoon, narrowly missing customers inside.

The incident was caught on surveillance video from outside the Woodbridge Avenue store at about 2:30 p.m. A Hyundai can be seen rolling through the parking lot, running through a pole and the front door.

From inside the store, the camera is torn down and tossed, but it keeps rolling and eventually lands near a wheel.

"I was scared," says co-owner Prashant Patel. "It's a good thing nothing happened with my employee and I'll be happy with that."

The entire front of the store had to be boarded up due to the amount of damage. According to Patel, the store will be closed for two weeks.

No one was hurt in the crash. Police have not identified the driver, or say if any charges or summonses were issued.

Investigators are looking into what caused the driver to fail to stop.
