Toms River Donald Trump supporters celebrate inauguration

Republican Donald Trump's swearing in as the 45th president of the United States was a joyous moment for many Americans, especially many who live in New Jersey.

Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton won New Jersey, but Toms River in Ocean County is the municipality that had the most votes in the state for Trump. Many residents watched Trump take the oath of office at the Toms River restaurant Capone's.

Many inside the Italian restaurant say they are excited for the future of the country. Capone's owner James Capone say he thinks Trump will "make Capone's great again" by improving the country's economy.

"I'm excited. Pizza sales are going to go up. I'm ready," Capone says.

"He's promised a lot of things and now it's time the country support him and let's give him a chance," says resident Cheryl Baccello.

There were two other Ocean County communities that also heavily supported Trump - Brick Township and Lakewood.
