Jersey City police looking for shooter after bullets strike one person, NJ Transit bus

Bullets struck one person and hit an NJ Transit bus in Jersey City, and police are looking for the person responsible.



Police are interviewing riders aboard the bus and other witnesses to try and find the shooter.



According to NJ Transit, up to four shots were fired at MLK Boulevard and Bidwell Avenue around 7 p.m. Tuesday.



One of those bullets broke a window on the bus on the 87 line from Jersey City to Hoboken.



The driver was hurt by broken glass on the arm, and was taken to the hospital.



A few blocks away police found a man hit by the gunfire, but he was not on the bus. He was also taken to the hospital. No word yet on his condition.



None of the riders on board were hurt.
