Route 22 in Somerset County reopens after pedestrian was fatally struck

Route 22 in Somerset County is now reopened after a fatal crash forced police to shut it down around midnight.



The crash happened on Route 22 West in Bridgewater, near North Gaston Avenue and the entrance ramp to 287.



A pedestrian was standing in the center lane of the roadway when he was struck by a car driven by Douglas Marino.



Investigators are now working to determine the identity of the victim.



The crash is under investigation.
