NJ Joint Base picked for next generation of air refueling tankers

In an era of base closings and consolidations around the country, the future of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst seems more secure. 



The Air Force chose the base as a home for its next generation of air refueling tankers.



The KC-46A Pegasus tankers will replace the base's current aging fleet of KC-10s. THE KC-46A is still a few years from full production.



The joint base is New Jersey's second-largest employer.
