Father and son wanted in connection with shooting in Franklin Township

A father and son are wanted in connection with a shooting in Somerset County earlier this month.

The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office says Jaki Hooks-Lewis, 20, is accused of shooting a 31-year-old man in the leg outside a Dewald Avenue home in Franklin Township. The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK. The shooting happened on Jan. 3

The investigation revealed that Hooks-Lewis's father, 43-year-old Jason Lewis, allegedly helped his son escape the area following the shooting. Both men are now on the run, according to authorities.

A $1,000 reward is being offered by Somerset County Crime Stoppers for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with any information about the duo's whereabouts is asked to call 1-888-577-8477 or visit www.888577tips.org.
