Monmouth County’s iconic Circus Drive-In up for sale

The owner of the iconic Circus Drive-In in Wall Township put the business up for sale.

A former employee posted a picture of the "for sale" sign on social media, which brought it to the public's attention. The realtor handling the listing confirms for News 12 New Jersey that the owner does have the business up for sale or lease. No price is listed.

The drive-in diner became a staple of the Jersey Shore summer with a "throwback 1950s" feel. The restaurant features waiters and waitresses on roller skates, hamburgers, hot dogs and milkshakes.

Customers say they will be disappointed if the business does close down.

"The biggest thing I'll miss is just the summertime feel. It brings a whole lot of flair to the area," says Steven Hammer.

Longtime customers have started the social media campaign #SaveTheCircus to try to find a buyer who is willing to keep the Circus Drive-In just the way it is.
