Goya donates food to Catholic Charities’ shelters in New Jersey

Eight shelters run by Catholic Charities throughout Essex and Hudson counties are getting a huge donation of food, thanks to Goya.

The company dedicated a total of 120,000 pounds of food to Catholic Charities, which will be sent out over the next 12 months.

"We have about 350 people every night at our shelters," says John Westervelt, the CEO of Catholic Charities. "Throughout Hudson and Essex County. This is going to be a win for them."

Goya also handed over a check for $10,000, which will be used for additional clothing and televisions at shelters.

Catholic Charities served 70,000 people last year.
