Power mostly restored in East Orange after thousands experience outage

Power has been mostly restored in East Orange after thousands of residents experienced an outage Tuesday afternoon.
PSEG says that an underground fire may have been to blame for the outage. Smoke was seen coming out of a manhole near the area.
About 5,000 customers lost power after a fire was reported underground near North Grove Street and Springdale Avenue.
A PSEG worker was hurt while operating a fire suppression device. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital to be treated, but the extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
Utility crews were able to make repairs and get the lights back on by Tuesday evening.
The exact cause of the outage was not immediately known.
