Former Elizabeth Fire Chief Louis Kelly dies from heart attack

A former Elizabeth fire chief who suffered a heart attack while on his way to a fire last week has died.



Louis Kelly was on his way to a large fire in Clark on Dec. 8 when he suffered a heart attack. He was revived but never fully recovered.



A Facebook post by the Elizabeth firefighters union says that funeral arrangements are still being made.



Kelly was retired from the Elizabeth Fire Department, but still served as the Union County mutual aid coordinator.
