Flights mostly back on schedule at Newark Liberty International Airport after rain clears

Flights at Newark Liberty International Airport are mostly back on schedule Thursday morning after weather caused dozens of delays and cancellations.

Heavy rains and thick fog Wednesday caused about 119 delays at area airports in the evening. Those delays were around two hours.

Newark Liberty also saw 16 flight cancellations due to the weather.

The weather is expected to remain mostly clear for Thursday and Friday so flights should continue to remain on schedule.

Travelers are urged to check with their airlines before their flights to find out the status.
