Officer injured after car collides with patrol car in Cherry Hill

A police officer in South Jersey was injured after a suspected drunken driver crashed into the officer's patrol car.



The crash happened on Route 70 in Cherry Hill around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.



Investigators say the driver was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes and eventually collided with the officer's car.



The officer was treated at a hospital and later released. The driver suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening.



News 12 is told drunken driving charges have been filed against the driver.
