5 hospitalized after Lacey Township house fire

A house fire sent several people, including two police officers, to the hospital Friday morning. 



The fire occurred on Serpentine Drive in the Forked River section of Lacey Township. 



Lacey police say rescued a 81-year-old homeowner who was trapped inside the attached garage. 



Two other women inside the home were able to escape the home on their own.



All three women were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.



Two responding officers were also treated for smoke inhalation and minor injuries.



Police say the fire caused significant damage to the home and damage to the home next door.
