Fire breaks out above bustling Linden restaurant, no injuries
The Linden Fire Department responded quickly after a fire broke out in the apartments above a bustling restaurant on West St. Georges Avenue.
Officials say the fire started in the apartment above Sabor De La Isla around 5:30 p.m., prompting both residents and customers to evacuate the buildings.
Crews were on the scene almost immediately due to the close proximity to the scene.
"We were able to get a bunch of manpower up there fast," says Linden Fire Chief Joseph Dooley. "Get ceilings open, get the roof open and we were able to cut it off."

Emergency management was on scene to help with the fire response. Several departments were involved with quelling the flames.
The fire chief said one firefighter suffered injuries that were minor during the incident.
