Veterans Day ceremony held at Holmdel Vietnam War Memorial
Hundreds of veterans and their families turned out for the annual Veterans Day service at the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Holmdel.
At the ceremony, which included a wreath laying, veterans were honored for their service to the United States.
The condition of VA hospitals was an important issue in the campaign of President-elect Donald Trump and veterans at the ceremony weighed in about what they'd like to see from the new administration.
"He should look after the veterans," says World War II veteran George Burlotos. "Unless you have faced bullets and the enemy, you don't know what a veteran means."
Vietnam veteran Conrad Hoffman says that Trump should keep current VA Secretary Bob McDonald.
"He is doing a good job getting the VA straightened out," Hoffman says.
More than 400,000 veterans live in New Jersey.
