Man accused in fatal Newark stabbings appears in court
The suspect charged in the weekend stabbing deaths of three people in Newark, two of them children, appeared in court for the first time Thursday
Jeremy Arrington was arrested after a standoff with police. He appeared in court to face a judge, and the loved ones of those killed in the attack.
He's been charged with murder and weapons charges.
The 26-year-old is accused of killing an 8-year-old, an 11-year-old, and a 23-year-old woman.
The children's mother and 13-year-old twins were also stabbed.
Loved ones of the victims burst into tears and were visibly angry after Arrington pleaded not guilty to all counts.
Arrington knew the victims and was already wanted for murder and assault, according to officials. Authorities say when one of the victims reposted a Facebook alert, Arrington became enraged, which led to the deadly attack.
Arrington's bail was set at $5 million.
