Linden High School students recognize veterans ahead of Veterans Day

Students at Linden High School recognized war veterans ahead of Veterans Day.

The Navy Junior ROTC paid tribute to the veterans during a special flag ceremony. It's also the 50-year-anniversary of the Vietnam conflict.

"You have people 4-5 deep welcoming us home and telling us thank you for our service. Even seeing little kids with signs, very emotional, very touching and I just appreciate everything that everyone has done for us," says Linden Vietnam veteran Carl Pereira.

Students even had an opportunity to sit down with the veterans and ask questions about their experience in the military.
