Skill-based ‘video game’ gambling machines debut in Harrah's Casino in Atlantic City

Atlantic City visitors will now have a new way to gamble with the debut of interactive gambling machines at Harrah's Casino.

The new game "Danger Arena" is the first of these video game-like games to debut. The player's skill using a controller during the 45-second play time will determine the payout.

"For Caesars Entertainment, it's a home run to have this product," says Harrah's Bobby Kahler. "To start the next revolution of gaming is amazing."

The player can win up to $500 per game, along with random bonus features that can bump winnings to $5,000.

This is the latest attempt to get visitors to some of Atlantic City's casinos. Five casinos have closed down since 2014, including Trump Taj Mahal last month.
