Driver strikes, injures 2 pedestrians on Route 9 in Old Bridge

Two pedestrians were injured when they were struck by a driver on Route 9 in Old Bridge.



Old Bridge police say the victims are a 54-year-old man and woman, who were likely struck while walking outside the crosswalk.



The driver was turning from Fairway Lane onto Route 9 when the people were hit. Police say the driver stayed on scene after the accident and is not facing any charges right now.



The victims were taken to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center and are said to have injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
