Forecast: Light snow possible this weekend

New Jersey saw mostly clear skies with warmer temperatures Friday, but cooler temperatures are expected this weekend, along with the possibility of light snow.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Michele Powers says Friday's overnight hours should continue to see clear skies with temperatures cooling into the mid-40s.

Saturday is expected to start off clear and sunny, but clouds are expected to develop by the afternoon. Rain is possible by Saturday night and may continue into early Sunday morning.

Sunday should see mostly cloudy skies with light snow possible in portions of New Jersey with higher elevations. Rain is expected in lower areas of the state.

Monday is expected to see partly sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-40s.
