Police: Manhunt on for Newark shooting suspect

Newark police are searching for a man they say beat a woman and then shot at a group of men who were filming the assault. 



Police say 26-year-old Akim Fairley was repeatedly punching a women near the intersection of Thomas and Brunswick streets when he noticed a group of men in a parked car were recording the assault on their phones. 



Officials say Fairley pulled out a gun and started shooting at them. 



The men in the vehicle were not injured. 



Newark police ask anyone with information to contact them.
