Over 400 bears killed since start of NJ’s hunt

Muzzle-loading guns are now included in New Jersey's bear hunt.
Officials say bow-and-arrow hunters have killed 368 bears between Monday and Wendesday. Most were in Sussex County.
The first three days were reserved for bow-hunting only.
Several viewers either called or reached out to News 12 New Jersey on Facebook with rumors that 'Pedals' the bear was killed in this week's hunt. However, wildlife officials would not confirm that. News 12 is also checking with DEP to get the facts.
Pedals became famous after videos went viral of him walking upright.
