Investigators in Ocean County believe murder-suicide likely links the deaths of a man found hanging from a Comcast bucket truck and a woman found beaten to death on his kitchen floor.

Police in Holmdel found 32-year-old Tyree Johnson of Jackson hanging from the truck on Wednesday just after 7:30 a.m.

Police found no one at his Lexington Court home in Jackson, when they went to notify relatives about his death. Officers used Johnson's key to go inside the home and a strong odor led them to the kitchen. There they found 29-year-old Christy Keronen of Lakewood dead with apparent head trauma.

The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office says Keronen's brother had reported her missing earlier in the day. She was last seen Sunday around 9 a.m.

Officials have not said how the two may be connected.
