Swastikas found painted in Echo Lake Park in Howell

Several swastikas were found painted in a popular Monmouth County park.

Police in Howell Township say that the symbols were found inside Echo Lake Park sometime over the last few days.

Township crews were able to paint over most of them, but a few of the symbols still remained Monday.

Authorities say that the park was targeted because it typically draws a large Jewish crowd.

The incident comes several days after swastikas and anti-Semitic graffiti were found on playground in Lakewood.

Anyone who might have any information about the incident is asked to call police.
