3 New Jersey towns to salute their returning Olympians

Three New Jersey towns will hold ceremonies over the weekend to honor local athletes who competed - and in two cases, won medals - at the Rio Olympics.

In Middlesex County, the town of Old Bridge will have a motorcade and celebration Saturday for gymnast Laurie Hernandez, a member of the United States' gold-medal women's gymnastics team who also won an individual silver medal in the balance beam.

Newark will honor silver-medal-winning boxer Shakur Stevenson with a parade down Broad Street to City Hall on Sunday.

The town of Dunellen will pay tribute Saturday to Sydney McLaughlin, the high school star from Union Catholic High who reached the semifinals in the women's 400-meter hurdles.
