Forecast: Hot, humid conditions expected through the weekend
New Jersey is expected to see hot and humid conditions to continue to last through the weekend.
An excessive heat warning is in effect until Sunday night for Mercer, Gloucester, Camden, northwest Burlington, Hudson, eastern Bergen, eastern Essex and eastern Union counties. The heat index in those areas could reach 110 degrees.
A heat advisory is in effect for the rest of the state.
News 12 New Jersey meteorologists say scattered showers and storms are expected through the weekend. Those storms could bring heavy rains that may cause some flooding.
Saturday afternoon should see scattered clouds with temperatures reaching the mid-90s. 
The evening could bring way to scattered thunderstorms with temperatures in the 80s. 
Sunday is expected to be mostly cloudy with more rain possible. The heat wave should break on Monday after a cold front moves through the region.
