Police are looking for the person who set up a number of booby traps at a popular 1,200-acre hiking spot in Wayne.
Hikers discovered traps at High Mountain Preservation made of barbed wire, broken bottles, screws and rope.
Visitors say the site is popular for hiking, mountain biking and for scouting troops.
"We were all camp counselors, and used to take 30-plus third-graders up and down the trail, so I think that's crazy to think of burying booby traps under leaves," says Vincent Buzzeli.
High Mountain runs through Wayne, Franklin Lakes and North Haledon.
Officials in the three towns are now working to find who did this.
