Police: Booby traps placed on popular High Mountain Park trail in Wayne

Police say booby traps have been found on a popular hiking and bicycling trail in Passaic County.
Police Capt. Laurence Martin says in a statement that the traps have been found by a Wayne resident since late June in High Mountain Park.
Police say broken bottles have been found near rocks or logs, and rope and barbed wire has been strung across pathways. Wooden planks with screws and nails sticking out of them have also been found placed under the road surface.
The park is near William Paterson University.
Anyone who might have information about these incidents should contact Wayne police at 973-694-0600.
