New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway train strikes, kills person in Paterson
A New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway train struck and killed a person Monday evening, according to officials.
The person was apparently on the tracks near Madison Avenue and Ellison Place around 6:40 p.m. when they were struck by the two-car freight train.
No one else was hurt.
Officials didn't immediately identify the victim. It's unclear what the pedestrian was doing on the railway's tracks.
