Chatham police release sketches of men wanted for jewelry store robbery

Chatham Township police have released sketches of the two men wanted in connection with a jewelry store robbery.

Crescent Jewelers on Main Street was robbed Thursday morning. Owner Joanne Prisco says that she was along in the store around 11 a.m. when the two men came in. They held her at gunpoint and stole thousands of dollars' worth of merchandise.

Prisco says that the two men came to the store Wednesday as well. Her husband Don believes they did not rob the store then because he was also present.

A neighboring business owner says that he saw the men as they walked out of the shop. He says they drove away in a silver Jeep.

Anyone who might have any information about the crime is urged to call the Chatham Township police at 973-377-0100.
